Learn about the unique Pathway to Campus Enrollment (PaCE) program at the University of Florida.
PaCE is a pathway to start online and finish on campus.
Pathway to Campus Enrollment (PaCE) is a highly selective and flexible pathway that allows you to start your University of Florida degree fully online and finish it residentially, on campus. During the first segment of PaCE, students have flexibility while taking UF Online courses from wherever they want to be, at a reduced tuition rate. After meeting their major’s transition requirements, these students transition to residential, on campus courses to complete their UF degree. Students admitted to PaCE apply as first-time in college students seeking residential admission to a PaCE-eligible major, and meet all UF residential admissions qualification standards.
This is all part of the University of Florida’s commitment to expanding access to life-changing education via innovative online pathways.

Academic Experience
Top-notch academics for PaCE students through UF Online courses during the first part of their educational journey.
About UF Online Academics
UF Online has earned rankings in the top five online bachelor’s programs for six years in a row according to U.S. News & World Report. With small class sizes, highly qualified instructors, dedicated academic advisors for each major, and innovative online courses, we aim high to help students succeed.
Same Degree, Same Faculty
UF Online & PaCE students earn the same degree as students who attend all their classes on campus, taught by the same world-renowned faculty. The diploma and transcript earned by a PaCE student is identical in all ways to the diploma earned by a UF student who does not participate in the PaCE program.
Online Classes with UF Online
Our courses go above and beyond to include much of the same face-to-face interactions and activities that traditional classrooms include, taught by the same expert faculty researchers and scholars who teach in the main campus classrooms.
Check out video clips of our online courses to explore what UF offers to its over 4,000 fully online students

Explore a UF Online demo classroom
This specially-designed course demo was created to allow potential students and their families to click through an experience very similar to an actual UF Online course. UF instructors team up with expert instructional designers at the Center for Online Innovation and Production to bring students the best possible online course experiences!
Majors Participating in the PaCE Program
UF colleges include over 85 major options as part of the PaCE program – students who select these majors on their residential application may receive a PaCE offer of admission. Each year, the participating majors list is updated.
We are excited to welcome Computer Engineering to PaCE for the first time in 2024!

Opportunities on UF’s Main Campus
PaCE students who live in Gainesville and surrounding areas can take advantage of campus activities, resources, facilities, and involvement as they choose. The Optional Fee Package provides access to many campus life amenities, including UF campus gyms, athletic event tickets, student health services, unlimited bus fares, campus meal plans, and more.
Students who do not select the optional fee package are still welcome on the main campus anytime and can take full advantage of libraries, faculty office hours, student clubs and organizations, career guidance, involvement opportunities, and much more.
Check out the UF Office of Admissions’ Student Involvement page for more information.
Online Involvement Opportunities
PaCE students who are traveling, living outside of Gainesville, or focused on other activities that keep them from visiting campus will have all the same engagement opportunities as fully online students.
You can connect with other PaCE students in the UF Online Plaza, join us for virtual game nights, online undergraduate conferences, research showcases, workshops, career planning activities, becoming a peer tutor, and so much more! Many student clubs and organizations hold virtual or Zoom-enabled meetings as well. Reach out to a UF Online Student Ambassador or our student support team if you need help connecting with others.
